Development Works: Renovation and development works in Falam

Deputy Minister for Construction Dr. Thaung Naing, accompanied by officials, inspected the renovation works on the Kalay–Falam–Hakha Road on October 23. Due to overflowing water, a section of the road near the entrance to Falam had subsided. Officials reported on the gravel-filling work being carried out on the sunken road section.

The Deputy Minister instructed officials to develop a systematic design plan to prevent future road blockages.

On October 24, the Deputy Minister inspected the progress of rehabilitation works in Falam, including staff housing and hostels, office buildings, and training schools. He instructed officials to ensure proper waste management and effective drainage system. At Lone Pee Agricultural Farm, the Deputy Minister inspected perennial crop plantations and instructed officials to develop systematic long-term plans for management and development.
