The Government has been inviting individuals associated with various armed groups, including PDF, to return to the legal fold and has been providing necessary assistance to those who return to legal fold.

On Thursday, a total of 52 individuals, comprising 47 men and 5 women affiliated with the KNLA and PDF, returned to the legal fold along with 23 firearms, ammunition, and related equipment. A ceremony was held to welcome the 52 individuals and hand them over to their parents and guardians at the Southern Command on Friday morning with the attendance of Commander of the Southern Command, regional ministers, and responsible officials.

Next, the returnees handed over 23 firearms, grenades, ammunition, mines, communication devices, and related equipment to the Southern Command Commander and officials, and a total of 88.3 million kyatcash award and necessary supplies were provided for the surrendered weapons.

Following this, the returnees were handed over to their parents and guardians. Those wishing to re-enter to legal fold are encouraged to contact nearby district or township administrative offices, local battalions, and police stations to receive requisite assistance and financial rewards for surrendered weapons and ammunition.
