Efforts for rural development: MCRD UM inspected rural development works in Mon State

The Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe accompanied by the responsible officials made a ground inspection tour on the regional development works and cooperative activities in Chaungsone Township of Mon State in the morning on Monday.  

First, the Union Minister and party viewed the industrial operation of five trainees who have completed basic sewing training and advance refresher course and have established own business with the assistance of industrial equipment by the Women’s Income Generation Project included in the project of creating small scale industries and rural families income enhancement project implemented by the Mon State Department of Small Scale Industries.

Next, the Union Minister met with the cooperatives societies of Chaungsone Township and gave instructions and suggestions for the income enhancement of rural families, for more activities in the agriculture and livestock breeding by forming the rural cooperatives societies and the assistances providing by the cooperatives societies.

After that, the Union Minister and party met with the members of Mudon Township Cooperatives Societies and gave necessary clarifications and suggestions. Then, the Union Minister and party inspected the Weaving and Vocational Training School in Mudon Township and coordinated requirements.
