







The Commander-in-Chief Office (Army) Commandant Office Team secured the championship shield in the final match of the 60th Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Cup Tatmadaw (Army, Navy, Air) Football Tournament in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.
The team emerged victorious by defeating the Eastern Command Team with a score of 6-5 after a penalty shoot-out.
The thrilling final match was witnessed by Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife, Chief of Staff (Army, Navy, Air) General Maung Maung Aye, Commander-in-Chief (Navy), Commander-in-Chief (Air), union level personnel, senior military officers and their wives, Nay Pyi Taw Command Commander, trainee senior military officers from the National Defence College, military officers, other ranks and families, trainees from Tatmadaw Football Academy, invited guests, and sports enthusiasts.
The Eastern Command Team took an early lead with an opening goal just 4 minutes into the match, but the Commander-in-Chief Office (Army) Commandant Office Team equalized at the 16th minute. The Eastern Command Team managed to score two consecutive goals at 36 and 46 minutes, leading with a 3-1 advantage at halftime.
However, during the second half, the Commander-in-Chief Office (Army) Commandant Office Team leveled the match with goals at 66 and 90 minutes, respectively. With both teams tied at 3 goals each after full time, the match proceeded to a penalty shoot-out, which the Commander-in-Chief Office (Army) Commandant Office Team won with a final score of 6-5.
This was followed by a prize presentation ceremony, where the best team, first, second, and third prize winners, as well as the recipients of the best player awards, were honored with trophies, cash awards, and medals. A total of 24 teams participated in the A and B levels of the Football Tournament, which commenced on November 6th.
