






Member of the State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister Admiral Tin Aung San met with the delegation led by the Chairman of Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association Professor Dr. San San Myint Aung at Rakhine State Government Office on Saturday.
During their meeting, SAC member Admiral Tin Aung San heard reports on the matters of mother and child health care services, and distribution of foodstuff in cyclone affected areas and fulfilled the needs.
And SAC member Admiral Tin Aung San and party later visited the University of Sittwe, overseeing relief and rehabilitation works, and gave necessary instructions on beautifying processes of the university.
Next, they arrived at the prayer hall of Sanda Rama Pariyati monastery in Kyet Kai Tan Village and viewed the health care services, being provided to cyclone affected people by the specialist doctors from Sittwe People’s Hospital. They also assisted foodstuff to the cyclone affected people.
At the monastery, health workers are providing health care services for general diseases such as gynecology, eyes, ears, nose and throat, orthopedic, surgeon, dermatology, mental health, dental care, pediatrics and other general diseases.
Treatments are also administered using Myanmar traditional medicines. During the inspection trip, Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, together with the Deputy Ministers, visited Shwe Min Gan Port in Sittwe Township and inspected the situations on transportation of cyclone damaged trees to Yangon Port for the production of value-added sculptures, and gave necessary instructions.
Next, SAC member Admiral Tin Aung San met with the officials from communication operators MPT, MyTel, Atom Myanmar and Ooredoo Myanmar at the Rakhine State Chief Minister’s Office.
At the meeting, he expressed words of thanks to the related officials for nearly cent percent completion of restoring the communication system and installing free Wi-Fi in cyclone-affected areas as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility activities for the development of education, health, religion, and social sectors.
