Work Coordination Meeting : NPT Council Youth Affairs Committee held meeting

The Nay Pyi Taw Council Youth Affairs Committee’s Work Coordination Meeting (1/2026) was held Tuesday at Meeting Room No. 1 of the Nay Pyi Taw Council Office.

Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council and Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council Youth Affairs Committee, U Kan Myint Than, attended the meeting and delivered remarks. First, the Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council said that, in order to promote the development of young people, awareness-raising talks, youth discussions, knowledge-sharing sessions on youth-related matters, and youth forums should be organized at basic education schools and universities.

He also called for the organization of knowledge-sharing sessions on digital technology at youth forums, the dissemination of knowledge about artificial intelligence (AI), and continued monitoring, encouragement and support for young people’s innovation and entrepreneurial initiatives based on AI.

Next, Secretary of the Nay Pyi Taw Council Youth Affairs Committee and Director of the Department of Youth Affairs, U Kyi Soe Lin, gave a briefing on the activities carried out by the Nay Pyi Taw Council Youth Affairs Committee during 2026. Vice-Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council Youth Affairs Committee and Member of the Nay Pyi Taw Council, U Tun Tun, provided additional explanations concerning the committee.

Afterward, the officials in attendance gave reports, according to their respective sectors, on the activities being carried out concerning youth affairs and the work plans to be implemented in the future. The Chairman of the Nay Pyi Taw Council then provided additional discussion and guidance on the matters that needed attention and coordinated the necessary measures, it is reported.
