Border trade resumed: Normal operations resumed in Muse border gates

From 1st to 12th April 2023, Myanmar exports various pulses and beans, rubber, edible oil crops, sugarcane and fruits to China through the Myanmar-China border via the Muse border gate with more than 200 import and export cargo trucks.

Vice Chair, Muse Rice Depot, Min Thein  said “A variety of products such as various pulses and beans, maize, edible oil crops, marine products such as shrimps and crabs, watermelon, cucumber and sugarcane are being exported by around 200 vehicles daily, except for rice and broken rice from 1st to 12th April. About 30 import vehicles which carry construction materials, electronics, pharmaceuticals and industrial materials, fertilizers from China are arriving daily.”

During Thingyan period which is from 13th to 17th April, there are less entry and exit of commercial cargo trucks than before and at present; it gets back to normalcy in April 18.

The Kyin San Kyawt gate, one of the five major trading gates in Muse's 105 Mile Trade Zone along Myanmar-China border, has the largest number of cargo trucks entering and exiting every day.
