Typhoon Muifa Makes Second Landfall In Shanghai

Typhoon Muifa made its second landfall on Thursday in Shanghai's Fengxian District, according to the Shanghai Meteorological Service. The typhoon packed winds of up to 126 kilometers per hour and had an atmospheric pressure of 975 hectopascals at its center when it landed.

A total of 10 typhoons have made landfall in Shanghai since 1949, with Muifa being the strongest when it landed. Affected by Typhoon Muifa, 1,163 trees fell down in Fengxian, and the relevant department worked overnight to eliminate potential safety hazards. Jinshan District, which is adjacent to Fengxian District, was also affected by the strong wind and rain all night.
