6.8-magnitude quake jolts SW China's Sichuan

A 6.8-magnitude earthquake jolted Luding county, Ganzi Tibetan autonomous prefecture, China's southwestern Sichuan province at 12:52 p.m. on Monday.

The epicenter was monitored at 29.59 degrees north latitude and 102.08 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 16 km. The provincial government activated a second-level emergency response.
