Widodo starts Japan visit, receives guard of honour

Indonesian President Joko Widodo was welcomed with a guard of honor in Tokyo on Wednesday to mark the start of his official visit. Widodo was accompanied by Japanese Prime Minister, Fumio Kishida, and was later expected to call on the Emperor of Japan, Emperor Naruhito. Widodo arrived from Beijing, where he held a series of meetings with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and President Xi Jinping. The president will finish his five-day trip in Asia with a visit to Seoul.
