Agriculture Land Development: Survey and Land Record Training conducted at CLRDTC

The Central Land Records Development Training Centre under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation is opened in Taikkyi Township of Yangon Region and three types of trainings are being given in line with the missions, visions and policies of the Department of Agriculture Land Management and Statistics.

The objectives of the trainings are to improve work proficiency for the department staff, to practice with modern technologies and to successfully implement the department’s tasks using the benefits from the training as well as to provide for agriculture land development of the country.

Principal, Central Land Records Development Training Centre, Htin Kyaw  said "Our training center has been opened since 1997. Today it has reach silver jubilee. Aside from using chain surveying system, we can now give trainings with the use of modern technologies.  Again, we also have to create syllabus not to miss the traditional standards. The government also provides buildings, teaching tools for better physical features of the center. In line with our motto “To Improve Discipline, Technology and Capability”, we are going to continuously implement human resource development. Moreover, relating to land surveying subject, we also aim for those everyone from the other external departments to come and attend the training if they are interested and even to become a vocational training center."

The on-job and advance training for survey and land records, and land records training for the officers are being conducted at the center.

Staff Officer, Department of Agriculture Land Management and Statistics, Maung Kyaw said "In line with the rules and regulations, the subjects we learn here are land survey, land records and computer. Land surveys subjects include basic subjects like using with RTK-GPS and total station. Land records subjects include collecting accurate statistics in the farmland sector, assessments for taxes of land, water, embankment conducting by our department. The computers subjects include practical use of computer and map drawings.  As I becoming officer from being a clerk surveyor, I’ve learnt a lot through this training to implement department’s tasks more proficiently. I am going to share my knowledge others and apply well when I’m in practical field."

Surveyor 5, Department of Agriculture Land Management and Statistics, Naung Min Khant said "I’m a trainee attending at workplace survey and land records training batch-65. It takes 5 months to complete the courses. Now, the training period reaches into a month. By applying skills and knowledge provided by the training, I’ll try to be productive one in my workplace."

There are trainings for new staff members and refresher training courses for the in-service staff members to improve their capabilities at the Central Land Records Development Training Centre providing for the improvement of human resource development. It’s also learnt that plans are underway for the center to get international level and update to Land Management Vocational Technology Institute.
