Transportation Facility: Repair works at Yan Pel creek crossing railway bridge

On Thursday, Deputy Minister for Transport U Aung Myaing inspected the ongoing repair works on Bridge No.343, Yan Pel Creek Crossing Railway Bridge along Pyay-Bagan Railway section, where central pier settlement occurred.

During the inspection, the Deputy Minister oversaw lifting process of settled bridge piers No.2 and 3 using rerailing equipment, flood barriers installation and water channel adjustment measures. Due to torrential rainfall on 30th September 2025, the settlement of the central pier of the bridge was occurred. To ensure the uninterrupted transportation, the Deputy Minister urged on timely completion of renovation works meeting set standards, reoperation of railways by the last week of September, and safety measures.
