Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise under Ministry of Energy opened a training course on International Certified 5G Downhill Welding for the technicians.
The training aims to turn out the skilled workers for the welding process for connecting gas pipeline for ensuring safety of the environs.
Zaw Tun, Chief Engineer, Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise said “According to the nature of gas and petroleum, it can be burnt and exploded easily. The welding process for the pipeline’s joint is very important because the gas has to pass through with pressure. For joint welding process, we can’t assign it to the non-experienced workers. So, we are working together with the international certified technicians for safety measures. If the gas pipe line exploded, it can easily spread fire to its environs and can cause damage to people.”
The training has been conducting every year, and the trainees have to pass the test to receive the completion certificate.
Zaw Tun, Chief Engineer, Myanmar Oil and Gas Enterprise said “We’re doing this training course every year. But we have been postponed for last 2 years because of COVID-19 pandemic. This training is very effective for trainees. After completing this course, they can understand work nature and can do welding process for joint very well. We’ll test for their skill after training course. As the result, we will select the workers whose are going to take part in our processing site. If the result isn’t good, we let them to attend the training again and test.”
The training will take 1 month duration and the courses will be conducted in three phases during this period.
