Honoring Outstanding Athletes : Outstanding athletes from MOH honored and awarded

A ceremony to honour and present awards to outstanding athletes from the Ministry of Health was held on Saturday morning at the meeting hall of the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw. Deputy Minister Professor Dr. Tin Tun attended the ceremony and delivered congratulatory remarks.

Then, the Deputy Minister and officials presented awards to athletes who won second and third prizes in the 800-metre race, 110-metre and 400-metre hurdles, 20-kilometre race walk, 4 by 400-metre and 4 by 100-metre relay races, and 1,500-metre race.

At the 2026 Inter-Ministerial Athletics Championships, held from 13 to 16 October, the Ministry of Health fielded 23 athletes, comprising 18 men and five women, competed in 19 of the 24 events and won a total of seven medals, including three silver and four bronze medals. The Ministry of Health finished sixth in the overall medal standings at the 2026 Inter-Ministerial Athletics Championships.
