Preparations Measures: Discussion for organizing 75th anniversary Martyrs’ Day

The Central Committee on Organizing the 75th Martyrs’ Day continued its second day meeting in Yangon on Saturday.

Central Committee Chairman Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko highlighted the need to follow COVID-19 health rules and to be aware of the security in holding the 75th Martyrs’ Day ceremony.

The Union Minister also instructed the committee and sub-committee to make the invitations to families of Martyrs, foreign ambassadors, political parties and NGOs, preparations for paying tribute and laying wreaths including security, health and communication for the national-level event.

The officials explained the holding of 75th Martyrs’ Day. The Union Minister and party inspected the preparations being carried out at City Hall, the Secretariat (former Ministers’ Office), Bogyoke Aung San Museum and Martyrs’ Mausoleum.

The ceremony will be four sections of ceremony – laying the wreaths and paying salute to fallen leaders at the Martyrs’ Mausoleum, hoisting the State Flag at half-mast at the Secretariat Office (former Ministers’ Office) and holding alm donation ceremonies in Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw.

Bogyoke Aung San museums in Yangon and Natmauk will be opened to the public this year. Moreover, the meeting hall of the Secretariat (former Ministers’ Office) where the martyred leaders were fallen will be opened to the public.
