Illegal trade: Illegal timbers and vehicles seized

An effective action is being taken to prevent illegal trade under the law supervised by the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.

An inspection team led by the Forest Department conducted inspections and captured illegal teak doors, window doors and parts of teak doors and a vehicle which carried these illegal items in Hmawby Township of Yangon Region on 3 June.

Similarly, a team led by the Forest Department under the management of the Sagaing Region Anti-Illegal Trade Task Force confiscated illegal timbers in Tamu Township and action was taken under the Export/Import Law.

Thus, two arrests worth approximately 15.422 million Kyats were made on 3 June, according to the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.
