Palm oil industry: Palm Oil Plantation and Selling

In 2022-2023 Fiscal Year, palm oil fruit bunch from Thaninthayi region and Mon state will be sold to private companies.

Deputy Director, Department of Agriculture, Dr. Myat Thu said "In selling the palm oil fruit bunch to private companies, we announce in the newspaper by annually at the end of fiscal year. We sell the palm oil fruit bunch to the company that offer handsome price than others. The palm oil fruit bunches from Kawthaung and Myeik in Thaninthayi region are mainly sold. Only the businessmen who have palm oil mills can buy the palm oil fruit bunch and produce the edible oil."

By selling the edible oil that was produced from the palm oil mills, it will fulfill the need of edible oil for the people of Myanmar to some extent.
