“Bougainvillea Palace”: A recreation park in Mandalay

Organized by TaungthamarnThitsar Company, a “Bougainvillea or Setku Pan flower Palace” has been established near Taungthamarn lake and U Bein bridge in Amarapura Township, Mandalay Region for public recreation.

The aim of establishing this park is to become a Bougainvillea City in this place in future and efforts are being made to decorate with Bougainvillea flowers in the recreational park, In-charge of Bougainvillea Palace recreational park said.

Soe Win Aung, In-charge, Bougainvillea Palace said "Bougainvilleas do not bloom during the rainy season. We add the restaurants and decorate with the photo booths for the convenience of the visitors. Many visitors come to this park during public holidays and gazetted holidays. Arrangements are being made to decorate this park with flower walls, vases and will also put bougainvillea walls on the road sides to beautify the park."

Visitors can take photos on the green grass land of Taungthamarn together with the “Bougainvillea Palace” recreational park,against the backdrop of the U Bein bridge and also with Myanmar instrument harp.

Visitors said "We saw lots of bougainvillea flowers and took lots of landscape photos. The scenery is also beautiful and so, we have a lot of funs here."

Visitors said "I haven’t been U Bein Bridge for a long time and so, I came to this park while visiting the bridge. We’re very happy to visit here."

The recreational park is decorated with local bougainvillea strains and also exotic flower strains and also crowded with lot of visitors daily.
