Sunflower Seeds Development: Demonstration of 10-acre model field in Magway

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr Aung Gyi and members met with sunflower seed farmers and attended a demonstration of 10 acres sunflower field at Tagon Daing Village, Nat Mauk Township, Magway Region on Sunday.

First, head of Township Agricultural Department explained about the situation of sunflower cultivation for oil crops development and the farmers had a friendly discussion on the issues on which the Deputy Minister instructed the needs.

Then, Deputy Minister and party visited monsoon peanut field of the local farmers, 10 acres model field of sunflower seeds and gave the necessary instructions.

Chairman of Oil Crop Development Committee and members and 80 farmers of 10 village-tract also attended demonstration of sunflower mixed crop model field.
