Field School of archaeology: School of postgraduate diploma in applied archaeology

The Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko together with the deputy minister U Aye Tun, Bago Region minister for social affairs U Aung Min, director general of the Department of Archeological Research and National Museum U Kyaw Oo Lwin and officials visited The Field School of postgraduate diploma in applied archaeology in Pyay township on Sunday and met with principal, deputy principal, faculty members, World Heritage listed Sri Ksetra Ancient City conservation organizations, staff members of Sri Ksetra division at the school hall and the principal U Win Kyaing clarified the related matters of the school.

Next, the union minister gave the guidelines and necessary instructions to the officials. Then, the union minister inspected Sri Ksetra Museum and the officials of the museum clarified the display booths in the museum, improving the display of the museum as Digital Museum and the arrangements of national heritage to be known by the world.

Next, the union minister instructed for the renovation works of Phaya Htaung pagoda in ancient zone of Sri Ksetra, cleaning works the weeds on the BawBawGyi pagoda and inspected the excavation mound of HMa-53, Aranhanta mound, Aranhanta entrance into the city and the Sri Ksetra palace site. Afterward, the union minister paid homage to the Shwe HsanDaw pagoda and offered one million Kyats of cash donation, it’s reported.
