Pre-Primary School Reopened On 1st May: Happy And Peaceful Learning Environs For The Children

With the supervision of the Department of Social Welfare under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, about 34 pre-primary schools in Yangon Region have been reopened starting from 1st May.

The pre-primary education aims, for the children between the ages of 3 to 5 years, to enjoy in the learning environ before joining to the elementary schools, in accordance with 4 teaching methods, including 5 developmental approaches.

Min Min San, Headmistress, No.4 Pre-Primary School (Ahlone) said “We have been taken care of these children, nurturing with 15 teachers in 5 teaching rooms. In the time of enrollment, students need to fill school enrollment forms, must take a copy of birth certificate and 3 licensed photos. For the students’ security, we let parents to pick up them only with the identity card and also install CCTV. We keep the disinfection tasks and provide medical check-up once in a month for children’s health. Our school opens from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.We have arranged 5 school ferries for the children, and manyof them have been picked up from their home.”

For learning, the lesson plans are conducted monthly according to the age of the child.

Kay Thwe Soe, Teacher, No.4 Pre-Primary School (Ahlone) said “We set up 2 lesson plans monthly for children. This month, we are going to teach about the lessons, titled “Me and My family” and “Our Body Parts”.”

Cho Zin Thwe, Student, No.4 Pre-Primary School (Ahlone) said “I read poetry with teachers and play with friends. I’m very happy to attend this school.”

Currently, over 200 children of aged between 3 to 5 years are attending at No.4 Pre-Primary School in Ahlone happily and peacefully.
