





Myanmar Seafarers Federation has been participating in Covid-19 vaccination programmes conducted by the Ministry of Health to provide vaccines to Myanmar seafarers.
The vaccination programmes have been provided since November 2021 in Kyauktada Township where Myanmar Seafarer Federation is located.
Capt. Soe Min Aung, Chairman, Myanmar Seafarers Federation (MSF) said "We have been providing vaccination programmes since 3rd November 2021. We gave Sinopharm vaccines to the seafarers and their family members before. Now, we can also receive booster doses with the help of Kyauktada Administrative and Public Health Departments. Booster doses were only available for people aged above 55 who had their second dose of vaccine at least six months ago. Now, people who aged above 40 can also receive booster doses. We also give vaccination certificates to those who have been vaccinated. We are also vaccinating AstraZeneca vaccines currently."
The seafarers who want to get vaccinated, can register vaccination form at the Myanmar Seafarers Federation. The Federation has provided vaccines for over 3,000 people and booster doses for about 30 people. It is planning to vaccinate to the family members of the seafarers soon.
