Peace Process: Peace Negotiation Group and RCSS held 2nd day meeting

The Peace Talks Team of the government and the del­egation led by the chairman of the Restoration Council of Shan State-RCSS held talks for the second day in Nay Pyi Taw, Sunday.

SAC Member National Sol­idarity and Peace Negotiation Committee Chairman Union Minister at the Government Office (1), Leader of the Peace Talks Team Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, SAC Member Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, NSPNC Secretary of the Committee Lt-Gen Min Naung, RCSS Chairman General Yawd Serk, RCSS Secretary (1) Col. Sai Ngin and member of RCSS Central Executive Committee Col Song Han joined the talks.

During the 2nd day meeting, member of Negotiation Committee Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein reported the National Solidarity and Peace-making Negotiate Committee’s findings on the agreements contained in Part 1, 2 and3 of the Union Accord, and remaining issues to be discussed in
Part 3.

The RCSS Team asked about further information. The general issues related to peace and development were discussed and the 3-day agreements of negotiations were approved and signed. Later, RCSS Chairman General Yawd Serk and Leader of the Peace Talks Team Lt-Gen Yar Pyae gave concluding remarks and exchanged gifts.
