



A ceremony to welcome the new 33 tutors and over 200 basic education high school teachers was held on Monday at Yangon University of Education along with an opening ceremony of a refresher course.
The refresher course from the 8th of November to the 8th of December 2021 is designed to cover specialized major-related subjects for the tutors in the evening and basic education subjects for the teachers in the morning. The new comers have to know not only the educational subjects but also classroom management. They also should know how to create atmosphere of positive environment for students and the cheerful environment workspace for themselves too. The course helps learners to have self-confident and professional growths, rector of the Yangon University of Education stressed.
Rector, Yangon University of Education, Kay Thwe Hlaing said “This refresher course covers psychology, test and measurement subjects, education management, methodology and teacher’s specialization subjects. If the new teachers know all the concepts and theories, they can more focus on their teaching for their students. Teachers will be qualified and they can produce qualified students.”
This refresher course also explores formation of the universities and how the universities make internationalization and collaboration with other universities. The first week of the course focuses on management, and from the second week to the end of the course on specialized major-related subjects for the tutors and basic education subjects for the teachers.
