






In commemoration of the 79th Anniversary of Union Day, the newly constructed concrete MinGanSin Road was commissioned into service in Mingan Ward, Sittwe on Saturday.
The opening ceremony was attended by Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin and his wife, together with relevant officials and invited guests. During the event, the Chief Minister and party heard briefings on the road construction and received commemorative flags marking the inauguration.
A local ward resident also delivered words of thanks for the road’s inauguration. The road was then formally opened with a ceremonial ribbon cut, followed by a group photo session. The Chief Minister and party then inspected the road and warmly greeted the attendees.
Cash awards were later presented to Pom Pom dance troupes, Drum and Bugle Corps and aerobic dance teams from basic education schools. The newly opened MinGanSin Road is 1,400 feet long, 24 feet wide and 8 inches thick and was funded by the Rakhine State Government.
