Rice Export Zone : Solar-power installed at modern rice mill

A ceremony to implement Rice Export Zone in Yangon Region, to provide agricultural cost and drum seeders to the farmers participate in Rice Export Zone and to commemorate the generation of 1000 kW solar energy at MAPCO-MFI 500-ton modern rice mill was held at facility in Mhawbi Township, Yangon Region on January 30.

At the ceremony, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein delivered opening remarks and the Chairman of Myanmar Rice Federation made clarifications on Rice Export Zone prepartions. Next, oficials presented reports on rice plantations, drum seeders distribution and usage within the region.

Following this, agricultural costs and drum seeders were distributed to the farmers. Later, the Chief Minister and party inspected the solar engergy (1000 kW) generation condition of the mill.
