Factory Inspection: Senior General Makes Inspection in Yangon

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing inspected the factory operated by Mother Industrial Co., Ltd. in Insein Township of Yangon on Thursday.

During the inspection, the Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than reported on the suspension of the brick factory (Danyingon) operated by No. (2) Heavy Industrial Enterprise and long-term lease of the factory land to the Mother Industrial Co., Ltd to produce lightweight sand concrete blocks.

Also, Managing Director of the Company clarified the history of the company and production of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Block (AAC) and Autoclaved Pressed Concrete Block (APC), raw material saving procedures and production processes, benefits of the AAC and APC and the supports of the government.

After hearing the reports, the Senior General said the employees appointed by the Ministry of Industry must work in line with the regulations during the lease of factories. The factories will have to take approval and permission from the Myanmar Investment Commission if they want to change the type of business.

He also encouraged the ethnic people-owned private businesses and urged the factories to produce sufficient materials to meet the local demand and to gain achievements. After the meeting, he inspected the AAC and APC production and quality scrutiny processes at Physical Laboratory and Chemical Laboratory.
