COVID-19 Update: 1,394 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on October 7

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 1,394 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday after testing 18,727 patients within 24 hours. 36 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 1,202 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 474,419 with 18,034 deaths and 427,941 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Iran, Argentina and Spain, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 6:57pm CEST, 7 October 2021, there have been over 236 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 4.82 million deaths.
