COVID-19 Update: 1,319 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on October 4

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.

The Ministry reported 1,319 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Monday after testing 17,163 patients within 24 hours. 38 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 1,442 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 469,782 with 17,921 deaths and 424,197 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Iran, Argentina and Spain, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 6:36pm CEST, 4 October 2021, there have been over 234 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 4.8 million deaths.
