COVID-19 Update: 1,194 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on October 3

The Ministry of Health reported 1,194 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Sunday after testing 14,390 lab specimens within 24 hours.48 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 1,490 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 468,463 with 17,883 deaths and 422,755 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

COVID-19 vaccine is being injected to those of priority groups in regions and states for prevention and control of the disease. Up to 2nd October, 2021, a total of 8,390,746 people have been vaccinated. Of them, 3,872,956 people have been vaccinated two times and 4,517,790 people once.

The Ministry of Health has given instructions for office/department staff and everyone’s active cooperation in following the COVID-19 preventive measures including reminders of staying safe and healthy during the pandemic.
