Religious Activity: Rice, Oil, Bean and Salt Donated to Monks and Nuns

The Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee and concerned departments organized rice, cooking oil, bean and salt donation ceremonies for the monasteries and nunneries in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area on Sunday.

On the occasion held at Zabuthiri Hall of Nay Pyi Taw Council office, the Presiding Sayadaw of Aung Sitha Monastery and members of the Sangha attended the offering ceremony where Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman Dr. Maung Maung Naing and wellwishers donated offertories to the monks and nuns.

Similarly, Dr. Maung Maung Naing and wellwishers attended the donation ceremonies held at Sasana Pala Dhamma Yeiktha (Myeik) monastery in Zabuthiri Township and Thatta Thattaha “Pwint” Zedi Religious Hall. Totaling 484 bags of rice, 1,390 viss of cooking oil, 725 viss of beans and 725 viss of salt were donated to 269 monasteries and 11 nunneries in Nay Pyi Taw Council area.
