COVID-19 Update: 2,702 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on September 8

The Ministry of Health reported 2,702 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing 25,398 lab specimens within 24 hours.

91 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 2,533 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 423,104 with 16,173 deaths and 370,599 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America with over 39.89 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, Russian Federation, The United Kingdom, France, Turkey, Argentina, Islamic Republic of Iran and Colombia according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:29 p.m.

Central European Standard Time on September 8, 2021, there have been over 221.64 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 4.58 million deaths, reported to WHO. The Ministry of Health has given instructions for office/department staff and everyone’s active cooperation in following the COVID-19 preventive measures including reminders of staying safe and healthy during the pandemic.
