COVID-19 Update: 3,358 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on September 1

The Ministry of Health is carrying out in momentum to prevent, control and give treatment of COVID-19 spreading in the country.

For achieving success of work process, the public need to Stay at home as much as possible, wear mask when it comes to going outside, wash hands frequently and take distance from each other. If there are older persons above 65 or those suffering from chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and heart in the house, they must wear masks.

The cooperation with great attention to receive the COVID-19 vaccination is needed. The Ministry of Health reported 3,358 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing 39,461 lab specimens within 24 hours. 101 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 2,439 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 402,640 with 15,490 deaths and 353,811 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, France, Turkey, Argentina, Iran and Colombia, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 4:50pm CEST, 1 September 2021, there have been over 217 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 4.5 million deaths.
