The Ohio Lottery announced winners of the first of five Ohio Vax-a-Million drawings on Wednesday. The lottery system shown by Republican Gov. Mike DeWine offers residents a $1 million prize or a full-ride scholarship to a four-year university in the state and will continue for five weeks. The drawing at the Ohio Lottery's draw studio in Cleveland on Tuesday included 2,758,470 adult entries in the drawing for $1 million. 104,386 Ohioans aged 12 to 17 entered the drawing for a college scholarship. The drawing was conducted using a Random Number Generator and observed by a representative of the Ohio Auditor of State. Ohio Vax-a-Million is an opt-in program, meaning residents are not automatically entered.
