Yangon City Development Works: Mayor inspects road construction and City FM Radio

Yangon Region Minister for Development Affairs, Chairman of Yangon City Development Committee Mayor U Bo Htay on Thursday inspected the development projects in Yangon.

At the Diamond Jubilee Hall area in Kamayut Township, the Mayor inspected the ongoing road works carried out by the Engineering Department (Roads & Bridges) and instructed for timely completion of the tasks. They then visited City FM Radio in Bahan Township to inspect building maintenance and daily broadcasting operations.

They emphasized completing repair and improvement work on time and ensuring the station continues to inform, educate, and entertain Yangon residents while broadcasting updates on city development activities. City FM Radio, established in January 2002, was the first FM radio station in Myanmar, initiated by the Yangon City Development Committee. In 2012, it moved to Bahan Township in partnership with Shwe Nay Chi Services Company. The station has now been operating for 24 years.
