








Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Aye Kyaw inspected cleanliness and beautification works in Hinthada Township on Friday.
They inspected concrete paving along the Hinthada-Sone Kone-Myanaung Road and instructed officials to complete the work on schedule and ensure road safety. He also inspected drain-cleaning works along Ingapo and Min Ye Kyaw Swar roads in Aye Mya Thaya Ward, as well as the removal of unsightly wires from communication poles.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister instructed to improve drainage, properly dispose of garbage and maintain cleanliness.
At Sel Myaung Yeik Thar, the Chief Minister received donations for flood-affected victims in Ayeyawady Region and for the Region Maternal and Child Welfare Supervisory Team and health workers from the Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association (Central).
In Yay Pauk Gyi Village of Zalun Township, the Chief Minister inspected the installation of a 250-foot steel cable groyne and sandbags to protect the riverbank erosion. He also provided cash assistance from the Department of Disaster Management and regional government supplies of rice, oil and food to displaced flood-affected families and inspected the basic education high school (branch) within the village.
He later inspected erosion-protection works along the Ayeyawady-Hinthada embankment between mile 30/0 and 30/3. He instructed 24-hour monitoring and immediate reporting of any abnormalities to ensure the its safety and strength.
