Vocational Training Courses: Aiming for generating income of the locals

Under the guidance of the Small Scale Industries Department, short-term vocational training courses such as basic foodstuffs and consumer products manufacturing, basic electrical wiring, motorcycle repairing and maintenance training courses are going to be conducted for the local residents from Bhamo District of Kachin State during 2023-2024 fiscal year.

The purposes of the Department is to systematically register small scale industries in accordance with the law and also lab tests of small scale industrial products are being carried out in order to produce high qualified and safe products.

Responsible Official, Small Scale Industries Department(SSID), said " In the 2022-2023 fiscal year, a total of 12 training courses on basic foodstuffs and consumer product manufacturing were conducted as short-term trainings. The projects such as increasing income of rural people in model villages will be implemented in Nan Yay village, women’s income generating in KhoKyin village and small scale businesses in Thar Mine Lon village respectively."

Project implementation plans will be carried out in 3 model villages in Bhamo District and vocational trainings will be conducted in each village with 10million kyats allotted budget fund. Plans are underway to provide business equipment worth 5million kyats for 5 outstanding trainees from each course.

Responsible Official, Small Scale Industries Department(SSID), said " For those who want to learn the short-term vocational training courses can contact the respective States/Regions and Districts small scale industries departments and can study the courses with free of charge."

In addition to the opening of vocational trainings, family income generating and creating  small scale business projects will be carried out in 2023-2024 fiscal year.
