







Kachin State Government is implementing for food sufficiency in PataO District of Kachin State while striving for extended implementation of agriculture and livestock projects through the State Economic Development Fund.
On April 30th, Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan visited PutaO to inspect the regional development works. During the tour, they visited the View Point on Nam Htwan Rachit Mountain, southwest of PutaO where the visitors can enjoy the natural scenic beauties including the cloud sea.
Landscaping works are being prepared while the entrance road to reach Cloud Sea Hill is underway. In Khisidi Village, the Chief Minister and party oberved the thriving plantations of perennial crops and market condition. During the visit, prevention measures for erosion of Mula Shidi River have been provided.
The Chief Minister also attended the opening ceremony new school building for Technical, Agriculture and Livestock high school in Doattan Ward. In meeting with departmental personnel, local battalions and organizations, over 104 million kyats worth of provisions were provided. On arrival at the Lower Sangaung Village, the Chief Minister oversaw the livestock breeding farm, and provided assistance.
At the Road Department, the Chief Minister heard reports on progress of construction new road axis to Mt. Phonkanrazi to develop eco-tourism industry in PutaO area. On the 1st of May, the Chief Minister took part in the Pre-monsoon tree planting ceremony along the Nam Htwan River, where the participants grew 400 saplings. They then attended the opening ceremony of new concrete road, connecting the Technical Institute. They also visited the Hilly Region Missionary Monastery and donated foodstuff for the monastery. At PutaO Airpot, they oversaw the landscapint works for greening environs.
