Fake News: Clarification on incident in Kalay Township

The subversive media outlets are disseminating fake news, alleging that security forces raided Pyae Taw Tar Village in Kalay Township of Sagaing Region on May 1st, and set fire the houses.

Concerning this news, a responsible person explained that the security forces are carrying out the security duty in Kalaytownship. At the arrival of Pyae Taw Tar village, they are attacked by the terrorist group who are already awaiting.

Due to their attacks using improvised heavy weapons and small arms, houses were damaged by fire. The return attack from the security forces led the retreat of terrorist group to the north of Pyae Taw Tar village. The subversive media outlets are disseminating one-sided accusations with the purpose to cause misunderstanding on people with fake news and false information, disrupting the stability of the country.
