Inspection Tour: Union Minister for Border Affairs makes inspections

Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung inspected the Nationalities Youth Resource Development Degree College in Yangon on the 30th of April.

During the inspection, the Union Minister held talks with faculty members and heard report on administration, training, teaching programmes, agriculture and livestock sector and other related issues. In his response, the Union Minister stressed steps to be taken to prepare for the upcoming academic year, factors that must be nurtured for students to improve their education, issues that need to be done for development of the education sector and preparations for the Myanmar Education Conference (2024).

After the talks, the Union Minister inspected the sports stadium upgrade works, water access at hostels and canteen and many other upgrade works as well as cleaning activities before giving instructions for the projects in the 2024-2025 fiscal year.

On the 2nd of May, the Union Minister visited the Dagon Myothit District Development Supervisory office, heard report on completed regional development works in Yangon, Bago and Ayeyawaddy regions in the 2023-2024 financial year and maintenance of heavy machinery and gave necessary instructions.

And, the Union Minister made inspections at the office, plantations and farms. On the same day, the Union Minister inspected visited the Central Training School in Dagon Myothit (North) Township, heard report and called for efforts for preparations to open courses as an MoU will be signed with the Japan Myanmar Association (JMA) and for the 9th leadership course on peace and border and ethnic affairs development process. And, the Union Minister made inspections in the school compound and gave necessary instructions for projects in the 2024-2025 fiscal year.
