Vaccination Programme: IDPs and Residents Get Sinovac COVID-19 Vaccine

People aged above 45 in IDP camps of Sittway Township area are getting Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine at the multi-purpose cyclone shelter in Thechaung Village.

Before the vaccination, health workers and medical personnel from the Sittway station ensured personal health conditions are normal.

The vaccinated people were allowed to leave at 30 minutes after the injection. The COVID-19 vaccines are also being administered to the residents of Thechaung Village at the multi-purpose cyclone shelter and people over the age of 45 from IDP camps in Sittway Township have been vaccinated with Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine in Thatkepyin village since 28 August.

Department of General Administration, personnel from the Department of Information and Public Relations, Myanmar Police Force, Red Cross Society, ward/township administrators, in-charge of the IPD camps and officials are coordinating necessary matters for the vaccination process.

The Union Government has distributed 50,000 doses of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines to the people in IDP camps in Rakhine State.
