









Myanmar delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services General Ye Win Oo visited Temple of Emerald Buddha within the compound of the Grand Palace in Bangkok, Thailand on August 21st.
Upon their arrival, the General received warm welcome by military personal from the palace. During his tour around the palace, officials explained about the royal residence and the history of Temple of Emerald Buddha. The General and his deligation paid homage and offered flowers to the Buddha image at the Temple and made cash donation for all round renovation.
During the tour around the temple in clockwise direction, the delegation members raised questions about the temple upon the explanations by the officials. In the afternoon, the Myanmar delegation visited Royal Thai Air Force and National Aviation Museum at Don Muang District and toured around the museum where historic flights of the royal family as well as fighter jets, helicopters, army uniforms from different era were showcased among others.
The National Aviation Museum of the Royal Thai Air Force was opened in 1952 in Don Mueang District with the aims to collect and preserve different types of flights and other aircraft related equipment which were used by Royal Thai Air Force.
Similarly, Myanmar delegation visited Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarter and toured around the building. Wife of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Daw Nilar and officials also visited the Veterans General Hospital in Bangkok, met with the officials of the hospital and viewed the video presentation on hospital history, treatment provision and working process of the hospital.
Veterans General Hospital-VGH under War Veterans Organization of Thailand-WVO, located in Phaya Thai of Bangkok, was established in 1970 to systematically provide medical treatment and rehabilitation for veterans, disabled individual, and their families who were injured in wars and in service.
