Third Pyidaungsu Hluttaw : Presidency Election to be held on April 3

The Presidential election will take place at 10 a.m on April 3, Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Speaker U Aung Lin Dwe announced during the second day meeting of the first regular session of Pyidaungsu Hluttaw.

During the session, Hluttaw Representatives discussed and proposed members for the hluttaw committees, the Bill Joint Committee with 15 members, chaired by Deputy Speaker U Naw Taung, the Public Accounts Joint Committee with 15 members, chaired by Deputy Speaker U Naw Taung and the Hluttaw Representatives Scrutiny Committee with 15 members, chaired by Dr. Kyaw Kyaw Htay.

Then, the Speaker announced the confirmation that the candidates for the presidency meet the required qualifications, as per the review made by the assessment committee. The session ended after the Speaker clarified on the process of secret voting for Presidency election.
