The Foreign Ministers of Thailand and Malaysia met in Bangkok as the two South Asian countries seek to further boost their economic cooperation.

Malaysian FM said he wanted to see actual progress on transport infrastructure projects between the two neighbours in order to reach a trade target of 30 billion US dollars in 2025.  Thai Foreign Minister said economic development in the insurgency-plagued far south would help turn the battlefield into the marketplace, similar to when the country turned Indochina border area into trading towns after the Cold War ended.
