Terrorist Attacks in Kawkareik: KKO (Separatist) Group & PDF perpetrate destructive acts

In Kawkareik of Kayin State, the KKO (Separatist) Group and PDF terrorists engaged in arson attacks on multiple occasions.

On the 26th, the combined group targeted No.7 Ward in Kawkareik, setting fire to houses before departing northwards. Security forces arrived on the 27th at around 9:00 am and conducted firefighting measures, successfully extinguishing the flames by 9:45 am. A total of 12 vacant houses were destroyed in this incident.

At around 4:00 pm on the same day, the KKO (Separatist) Group and PDF terrorists struck again in No.7 Ward, resulting in the destruction of four unoccupied houses. Additionally, on December 26th, the combined group set fire to 16 uninhabited houses in No.5 Ward of Kawkareik. Security forces are implementing necessary measures to ensure the safety of the affected areas.
