Tea Reception: Meeting with the Independence Mawgun Award winners

Three winners of the Independence Mawgun Award Second and Third Class joined the 81stAnniversary Armed Forces Day celebration on 27th March. Prior to the occasion, Vice Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Vice Senior General Soe Win hosted a tea reception to the attendees at Bayintnaung Villa in Nay PyiTaw.

During the meeting, the Vice Senior General, Commission member Commander-in-Chief (Army) General Ye Win Oo, Commission member Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Kyaw Swa Lin and senior military officers from the Commander-in-Chief Office, inquired about their health conditions and coordinated necessities.

Then, the Vice Senior General presented 5 million kyat and nutritious foodstuff to each Independence Mawgun Award winner on behalf of the Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services.

Among the attendees were Independence Mawgun Award Third Class winner U Aye Thein, aged 98, Independence Mawgun Award Second Class winner U Kyaw Sein, aged 101 and Independence Mawgun Award Third Class Winner U Nyan Aye, aged 102. They are in good health and recounted their experiences during the anti-fascist revolution, filled with patriotic and nationalist fervor.
