Taninthayi Region Hluttaw: Hluttaw approved appointment of Region CM

The second day of the first regular session of the third Taninthayi Region Hluttaw was held at 10:00 AM on April 6 at the Taninthayi Region Hluttaw meeting hall in Dawei. The Speaker of the Hluttaw read out and recorded a congratulatory message sent by the Speaker of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw. Regarding the nomination sent by the elected President of the Union for the appointment of the Chief Minister of Taninthayi Region: namely, U Zaw Naing Oo, Region Hluttaw Representative No. 2 of Myeik Township, the Taninthayi Region Hluttaw sought and obtained its approval.  

Subsequently, the Hluttaw addressed the Hluttaw affairs including seeking the Hluttaw's decision on the proposal submitted by the elected President of the Union to establish eight government ministries, eight government ministers, and three judges of the Taninthayi Region High Court, including the Chief Justice of the Tanintharyi Region High Court.

The second day of the first regular session of the third Taninthayi Region Hluttaw concluded at 10:40 AM. It is reported that the third day of the first regular session of the third Taninthayi Region Parliament will continue on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
