Support for Women : Vocational training and social assistance

Union Minister for Women’s Affairs Dr. Thet Thet Zin, together with members of the Visakha Foundation, visited the Women’s Development Center in Yangon on Saturday.

She observed vocational training programs such as weaving and food production, and encouraged women’s groups to renovate old school buildings into exhibition and sales centers. The Union Minister stressed that these activities would help women earn income and strengthen their families.

Later, the Union Minister visited the Women’s Vocational School, where she inspected bakery training classes and viewed the designated site for a new support center for survivors of violence. She met with women under care at the center and donated cash assistance to support their needs.
