Spreading Disinformation: Clarifying the false information

Illegal subversive media outlets,KhitThit Media and RFA, are spreading fake news on social media, allegingthe death of innocent civilians and arson attack in Madaya Township of Mandalay Region.

These baseless reports claimed that 6 people were killed in a deadly shooting by Tatmadaw at around 10:00 p.m on December 30th. Also, more than 50 residential houses were destroyed by arson attack at Udein Villageat around 7:00 amon the 31st.

Concerning these news, an official from local area refuted that there were no security operations conducted by Tatmadaw near ZeePhyuPinGone Village of Madaya Township. It is found out that PDF terrorists brutally shot and killed a woman and 3 men with small arms on the night of December 30th.

Currently, innocent victims were taken to the Township People’s hospital and further investigation for the arrest of the terrorists is underway.Similarly, Tatmadaw conducted security operations in Udein Village of Madaya Township due to the arson attacks, murder and robbing by PDF terrorists.During operations, terrorist insurgents retreated by launching small arms and hand-made shock missiles, led to the demage of houses in flames.

PDF terrorists attacked the security forces by ambushing and shooting inside the houses as well as planting mines. Also, they committed terror acts such as using innocent civilians as human shields, burning down the houses and spreading fake news on social media through illegal subversive media to cover up their inhumane acts.
