









The inauguration ceremony of the Solar-Powered Thabyaytan River Water Pumping and Village Electrification Project, held in celebration of the 81st Anniversary of Armed Forces Day, took place on March 17th in Thawlaty Village Tract, Taikkyi Township, Taikkyi District, Yangon Region. Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein attended the ceremony and delivered the opening address.
Following his speech, the Director of the Yangon Region Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department explained project-related matters.
Subsequently, Chief Minister U Soe Thein and Minister for Economic Affairs U Myo Min Aung handed over 28 sets of double-unit low-lift solar water pumps to responsible officials from Taikkyi Township and Hlegu Township.
Afterwards, a local farmer representative expressed gratitude on behalf of the farmers. A representative from KTK Company then handed over documentation related to the Thabyaytan water pumping project, which was received by the Director of the Yangon Region Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department.
The Solar-Powered Thabyaytan Water Pumping and Village Electrification Project was then officially inaugurated with ribbon-cutting by the Yangon Region Minister for Economic Affairs, Minister for Natural Resources, Director of the Yangon Region Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department, and other officials.
Following the inauguration, Chief Minister U Soe Thein and officials inspected the solar-powered water pumping and village electrification project. During the inspection, the Director of Region Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department briefed them on the project status, and the Chief Minister provided necessary instructions.
The Chief Minister then presented cash awards to the entertainment troupe and warmly greeted attendees.
Subsequently, Chief Minister U Soe Thein and officials inspected the road widening and concreting project being implemented by the Department of Highways along the Yaytwinkone-Myochaung-Thawlaty-Ywar Thar road between mileposts 21 and 22 in Taikkyi Township, Taikkyi District, where a 6-furlong section is being widened to 18 feet with concrete paving. Responsible officials briefed them on the project, after which the Chief Minister issued necessary directives and toured the area by vehicle for further inspection, it’s reported.
